An ideal world where beauty lives ... A limitless fantasy world on the brink of reality ... Tropical wilds, mysterious ponds and waterfalls, twinkling stars and golden-pink sunsets spilled in the twilight of blue ... These paintings in the style of romantic impressionism belong to the brush of James Coleman. His fantastic landscapes are sometimes similar to theatrical scenery, so unusual he uses lighting, color and composition.

Peace, harmony and beauty
"The laws of Art do not originate in the material,
but in an ideal world where Beauty dwells,
matter can only indicate boundaries, within
which spreads artistic inspiration. "

James Coleman was born in Hollywood and differed from his peers in that he always preferred painting to sport. James's first job was at the Walt Disney Studio Post Office, where his mother, who worked at the studio as a secretary, arranged for him. Then he began painting at the Disney Art School. Ken Anderson, the main artist and a significant figure in the history of Disney, saw the potential in the young man and helped him get a job as an assistant artist to draw the backgrounds of animated films.

So in 1969, at the age of 20, James began his career as an artist. Coleman worked at Disney for 22 years, participating in more than 25 projects, and left the studio. However, the paradox of the situation is that, having physically left Disney, in fact, he continues to work in the style of classic studio cartoons.

Coleman works in a mixed technique, combining oil, watercolor, gouache and pastel. In his works, pure shades of pink, yellow, purple and other luxurious combinations of tropical colors ... Through the paintings he conveys his own feelings from the nature of the Hawaiian Islands, intertwining inexplicably seen the reality of the Hawaiian paradise and his dreams, dreams, elusive fantasies ... His paintings fascinate, touching the most hidden corners of our souls ...

Cheryl Kline Art

California born Cheryl Kline has made an impact on the art world with her large abstracted landscapes of the sky. Influenced by Turner, and Hudson River School artists, Kline found her own way of describing what she calls “Operas in the sky.”

The series began in the year 2000 as a way to celebrate the millennium and has continued for the past 18 years developing into a dramatic collection of almost spiritual and vibrant impressions of what takes place above our heads every day. This new collection of paintings, “Clouds got in my way” offer a unique perspective of the artist’s celebration of the grand and awesome skies off the pacific coast and her travels to far away lands.

Kline earned a bachelors degree from Woodbury University and finished her studies in painting at the Florence Academy of Art.

In 2007 after a stellar year of sales, Kline purchased a building in West Los Angeles, and opened “Kline Academy of Fine Art.” An Italian style atelier devoted to teaching classical painting and drawing skills to artists of all levels.  Visit www.klineacademy.com

Highlights of Kline’s career to date have been; a solo show at the Discovery Museum in Connecticut, acceptance into the Royal Academy of Art’s summer Exhibition in London, and in 2008 she won an Award of Excellence from the Portrait Society of America. Her work is in collections around the world. She currently has just authored a book on portrait painting techniques "A Treatise on Portrait Painting" available on Amazon.
