Services of the artist of the portraitist

On this day, an ordinary apartment move took place with the loaders. The event took place in the Strogino district. At first, busy with their work, we did not pay attention to the music and singing. However, later, between the cases, we noticed that there is a municipal ground for mass events and an open stage where the performance was on. One of us remembered that there was a carnival week, and today is the last day. A small dispute arose between us about the meaning of this ancient Russian, having pagan roots, a holiday. But really none of us had any idea about this, only well-known facts and external manifestations of the celebration.

While we, the crew of three people, fulfilled the assigned task - an apartment move inexpensively
(http://www.akademia-pereezda.ru/uslugi/kvartirnyj_pereezd), everyone remembered and told others what he knew about the carnival. From these short stories, remarks, and formed the picture of this holiday. In short, it looked like this.

The festival of carnival has a very long tradition, arose even before the adoption of Christianity in Russia and is still celebrated with great eagerness in our country. Moreover, in my opinion, this is the most cheerful, with its traditions, a national holiday in Russia.

In order to understand its origins, we recall from childhood (and we all come from - there are native) fairy tales, Russian mythology, children's films and cartoons in which it is shown or spoken about the wires of winter and the meeting of spring. The events described in these sources, since childhood, allow everyone in general to understand where the celebration of the carnival begins.

In a small exchange of views we came to the obvious conclusion that there are two main versions of the emergence of the name of the carnival.

Russia has long been a country of agriculture and the harvest played the most important role in the life of all generations ever inhabiting it. In addition, climatic conditions in accordance with the geography of our homeland were always difficult and even difficult for the existence of people.

Therefore, ordinary people, villagers, namely, they constituted the majority of the population, eagerly awaited the end of winter and the arrival of spring heat, a harbinger of the future harvest, welcomed favorable changes in nature.

In turn, in those days, the pagan god of the sun of Yarilo's fertility (remember the tale of the Snow Maiden) was the patron of the revival of nature, spring, prosperous harvest. The indispensable part of the celebration was the baking of a large number of pancakes, which seemed to symbolize the sun: hot, ruddy, round in shape. In addition, they were abundantly lubricated with oil, thereby "cajoling" the spring faster to enter into their rights and bring the long-awaited warmth, light, letting start sowing work in the fields.

Another version is connected with the adoption of Christianity in Russia and the Orthodox faith. The church introduces new religious holidays and rituals. Among them, the Great Post - obedience for believers occupies a special place. He anticipates Easter - the feast of the Resurrection of Christ. At this time, believers can not eat meat, but you can eat dairy products. Maslenitsa precedes the Great Post. In order to have plenty to eat, the Orthodox baked pancakes, which were the best for this.

During the celebration, there were folk festivals - the young people took dances, watched fiances and brides themselves, fought fights, dressed and burned the effigy of Winter, arranged various competitions: they climbed on the post for a gift, jumped over the fire, put on the bear's skin ("the bear wakes after winter hibernation "), treated each other, went to visit each other, lit a wooden wheel and rolled it off the mountain. In a word, we had fun and called the Spring. On the last day of the week - Forgiveness Sunday, asked for forgiveness from each other, remembered the departed. Do not forget and Winter, which brought a lot of snow, which means there will be a harvest.

Shrovetide lasted a whole week, every day which had its name: a meeting, flirting, gourmet, binge, mother-in-law parties, zolokkin gatherings, seeing the carnival (Forgiveness Sunday). These names speak for themselves.

In observance of age-old traditions we see the deep culture of the Russian people, its inviolable roots, the wide and open goodness of the soul of the Russian people, the powerful history of the invincible Russian state.

Imperceptibly approached the end of a small apartment move in Moscow. Our crew carried out our task (the apartment move inexpensively), the customer was satisfied.
